Lithuanian theatre in Dmitrij Matvejev’s photographs
Composition of theatrical “ghosts”, masks and shadows, portraits of actors made in backstage, before and after performance, as well as photographs made during rehearsals.
The exhibition will present photographs taken during performances of outstanding Lithuanian directors including Eimuntas Nekrošius, Oskaras Koršunovas and Rimas Tuminas..
Born in 1963 in Vilnius. Member of the Lithuanian Union of Art. He documents Lithuanian theatre life, he worked for many theatres in Lithuania and abroad. His focus is to document performances, rehearsals, everyday theare life and its celebrations. He has created many portraits of Lithuanian theatre artists.
The exhibition will be open on 6-12 October, during the Box Office opening hours (14:00-19:00)

The Lithuanian Week is organised by Gdański Teatr Szekspirowski and Fundacja Theatrum Gedanense in cooperation with Cultural Attache of the Republic of Lithuania and Lithuanian Cultural Institute.
